I got this order a while back and am just now getting to it for Recce on the Spyderco forum.
I did this without the knife but by using old scales I had here and the old lock and liners from frame lock rebuilds. As for what you see here. Well, its still rough and needs final shaping but I had to bring it in the house to get one of my CQC14s out to snag the rear spacer, blade, washers, and stop pin long enough to properly space it and assemble it to make sure when Recce gets it that it will actually go together properly. Its also going to help me finish it out so it is the right size.
The thickness of these new ranger green Strider textured scales is greater than stock so the recesses all had to go in deeper to make the hardware work but I finally got it.
I guess if you ever wondered what a CQC14 would look like in a CQC8 handle well, here it is.
