Hello,

I'm looking for a big brother for my Izula ...

Any comments on the Chris Reeves Professional Soldier ?

Great little knife. I recently just started using mine after a few months in the drawer. I have big hands and when I first got it I was unsure due to the three finger grip but the more I use it the more it's moving up on the list.

I did a review on it for TK, and loved every second of it. The quality of the knife was unbelievable. You will not be disappointed.

Ive been eye balling one of em for awhile. Joes article in TK sold me on one, just havent bought one. Yet...

That knife really appeals to me and I've wanted one since Joezilla's review. I like that fact that it's S30V because it'll be constantly getting wet from sweat, but I can't justify triple the price of the RAT Izula.

I'm also a little unsure of why CR keep their knives at 55-57 RC. 55 seems a little soft to me. Is it for ease of field sharpening?

I like the looks of it a lot. The blade length is longer than the Izula and the package bigger overall I believe. I like my Izula, it is my EDC. The soldier is probably more comparable to the busse skeletal wardens and Ferhman through-hiker in size. The fact that it is S30V sets it apart from the above offerings.

Then again, check out Landi's PSK - while they have handles, they can be had in 154CPM. There is of course that mysterious Koster W&SS collaboration neck knife too!
