Wow, that looks like it sucks to walk over.
That's why they've got designated tracks and boardwalks to stay on - have a couple of thousand tourists walk on that every year and there'd quickly be nothing for the tourists worth visiting.

from your pics it looks like much of the vegetation is from a semi-arid ecozone. however the moss & growth on downed timber means wet. is the climate similar to some coastal alaskan areas. looks to be chilly. thanks for the great tour.
