A while back there was a thread on if any knifemakers had a dedicated leather working knife. Made me wonder why I hadn't made my self one. This was a good project for some of the 1/16" O-1 I have. Also to try the red corrian as a handle material.

So what do you think of the red corrian?
I have an order for some knives that when I ask about handle material I was told "surprise me" To much of a surprise?

It feels great in my hand but, if I were using this knife in wet or slippery conditions I would add some checking to the handle. As is I always have something sticky spilled on it.

Ooooh, I'm inspired! I have a tradition of cutting out the sheath with the knife that will go in it. Kinda tests the sharpness and is my sentimental farewell before I pass it on to it's new owner. Then again I hadn't seen anything THAT cute before, well done, as I said, I'm inspired:)

Cool knives, and I realy like the red corian, I don't know if I'd use it for the whole handle, but I'd love to get some for spacers. I'll have to keep an eye out for some, didn't know it came in colors like that.
