the switch on my craftsman 2x42 belt sander is busted. luckily it is in the on position and I can use it by just plugging it in or out as needed.
the switch has four prongs but sears has sent me a switch with two prongs( three times). I can't get it to work with the two pronged version.
anybody have a solution other than popping for a new 2x72 sander which I can't quite justify as a hobbyist?

thanks,guys

try taking the switch to your local auto store like oreillys or auto zone. they should have switches there that will work. like say fog light switch.

Harbour freight or radio shack have a variety of switches. eBay will have them as well.

Home depot has switches as well. I just installed one on my bench grinder and on my 2x72

The switches at auto stores are rated at twelve volts dc, not 110 AC

It's easier to find one somewhere else

H/F makes a momentary foot switch--press down on the switch and your saw will come on. I use them on my wood band saw, prill press and 2 wheel grinder. Consider these light duty. I do not use this switch on my variable speed grinder.
