Craftsman #9530 2OT from 1959

He's not an out and out faker like some folks, he has some knives cleaned for sure, others are left alone. We rode him up and down about a Union Knife Co (Tidioute) knife had had up a while ago. It was a cleaned example, but his wording left a bit to be desired. He did change it, but got mightily PO'd at the critisism. He's probably still a little peeved. I've seen him at a couple of shows, nice guy and has a lot of sweet stuff (some cleaned of course), but he is a typical sweet talkin' salesman nonetheless, just have to be careful. That 2OT might be untouched, although the mark side blade may have orginally been crocus polished on the originals, I'll have to check the catalog to see if there was a description.

I can live without his arrogance and his knives, many of which I would have bought for a LOT HIGHER than he got. He obviously has more money than he needs anyway. There are a lot of fish in the sea. I might have made him mad at some time and deserved to be blackballed, but I would never do something like that without the simple courtesy of telling me why. That is perverted meanness, pure and simple. Does this sound like a bit of an opinion? Yup!

But the best thing is it's a free country. as Hal said, it's his auction. ebay is just a service to enable sellers and buyers to find each other. all are welcome as long as you are not consistently trying to rip people off and it's provable (? is there such a word?).
the sellers i enjoy most are those who are primarily knife collectors. they take pride in the accuracy and full disclosure of the descriptions.
also seems the humble sellers have the best knives. ever notice that ?

I'm going to send him an email through my ebay site telling him that I will be Blackbanning all his auctions personally as he has banned collector mates of mine for no apparent reason.
