I finally got all the fixed blades in this series together I think.I know there are not many of us fixed blade fans left on here but I thought I post a picture anyway. Now all I need are the folders.I have not had any luck with them.Arnold

Arnold, the 171 style knife, was that the one that was on e-bay last year round about Sept/Oct for a rather reasonable buy it now price?

Sorry Rusty for some reason I can't find it in my records.I got it around Thanksgiving but can't find what paid.I know it was less than an equalivent 171UH since it is MIB.Got to love these Craftsmans.Arnold

You've done an excellent job assembling these Arnold! It would not surprise me at all if yet another pattern or two surfaced. What you need are the Sears cataloges contemporary to those knives. Likely the fall/winter issues. They might have good clear illustrations and descriptions.

On the two knives on far right, what would the extra large pull groove be used for?

I've seen ideas that range from a blood grove to it makes the blade stronger.Frankly I don't know what a fullers groove is for.All I know is Schrade did not use them very often.Buck used them on their knives and thats what causes the confusion over whether these are Bucks or Schrade.Arnold
