Craftsman power tools

FYI, Sears is now a part of K-Mart and you can buy Craftsman tools there as well.

I heard on the radio the other day that you can get them at our local True Value store too
Seems they have branched out a little.

Sad to hear about Craftsman's power tool lineup. I've been happy with DeWault's power tools (other than the cost of the batteries!) and Bosch's. My Bosch pocket driver is one of my favorite power tools, and gets the most use out of any of them.

I'm even sadder to hear that Craftsman's manual tools are declining in quality...

Most of my tools are Craftsman and get used a lot in my two 1500 sqft shops. I haven't had the first problem with Craftsman power tools and they get used quite a bit. The drill and impact driver that share a battery and came in a set have both seen a lot of use and work great still. The light is a nice touch, they have plenty of power, and the batteries seem to be holding up great. I got my mom one of the power hammers and it works surprisingly well. I did have a chainsaw that the chassis somehow got twisted and the bar would sit crooked. $40 bucks for a new one and I changed everything over and it is still cutting strong.

Guess I haven't run into the junk problem yet.
