Crag Hunting with The King!

What a sight to wake up too even if you have the battle the wind and stuffs the night before. Thanks for sharing, I'm in the tropics and it's monsoon season. We only have heat, humid and lots of rain at this time of the year. Hope to see more of your adventures soon.

Got to agree with you. As challenging as the conditions may have been, it really was wonderful to be in such an incredible place.

Good to see you back around, Gus. I like camping out even if it doesn't turn out the way you originally planned....thanks for the great pics. Really pretty area.

Awesome pics of an awesome place. Thanks for sharing.

And the next morning we woke up to this.

Not a lot of snow, but the wind was brutal.

I love the regional differences on this board. That much snow would shut the world down here and have some folks wondering how we would ever survive. Cannibalism might already have been considered by a few. ;)

Mostest cool. Why weren't you guys cutting down trees, building Tim Hortons, and otherwise dominating the land? :p

Quite a spot, Gus!
The tent tarp is a great idea.

LOL! Gotta admit, we were a bit underprepared for this. Don't think we would have had to resort to cannibalism, but we would have been more comfortable if we were a little more prepared for such a radical weather change.

I like the camp setup.
Looks like a great area.
Thanks for the pics.

Glad you like it. I'm sure you're familiar with this sort of weather!

Yeah the tent tarp was useful. The snow was incredibly wet and heavy. We had to knock the accumulating snow off the tent a few times that night.

LOL! We did manage to cut down a 60-foot tall tree! The plans for the Tim Hortons got sidelined because of the weather. At least we scouted a good location for construction this spring!

Coffee's on me if you'll let me rappel.
