Craghoppers (Grylls) Survivor Pants

I was just looking into those too
Great review!
By chance, have you checked out the
Combat pants?
Those look to be a really good deal right now.

survival pants are mostly sold out
the combat pants dont appear to have the stretch material
and 1 less pocket...

nice review Joe... the pants look a little wild and i don't think they're my style...:o Ken has some fancy red ones though...:)

Great write up bro

How is the sizing ? should one order a size up ?

It would be nice if they made a pair that didn't look like Dolly Parton sang about them. Look interesting, pricey but as Joe pointed out, with a great warranty like that...I pay 50.00 for pants, what would another 26.00 or so be with a lifetime warranty? Pretty good if you think about it.

They just need to come out with a khaki pair and a black pair without the patchwork look to them.

The darker ones do look better.

I ordered a 32, and in hindsite I should have ordered a 34. I ended up going back and ordering a 34 in the khaki version, Y'all can make fun of me but I'll be dancing in the fancy pants anyway. I think their sizing is right on.

Duluth Trading has a heavy canvas pant for $50 with a lifetime "if you can tear/hole them, we'll replace them" warranty, zippers included.
They call them their firehose work pant - I keep thinking about it but haven't made the leap yet, since their "everyday work pant" works pretty well for me so far. (but no lifetime guarantee)

couldnt tell for sure
but on the bear survival pants
do the top side/slash pockets zip?
all pockets gotta have some sorta closure
or be so danged deep aint no way somethings gonna fall out
prefer zippers meself

Topside slash pocket that is in the main front pocket does zip

The cargo pockets look well thought out, if a little too low on the leg (though this seems to be the case with all but a few pants out there, most people other than me don't seem to mind.)

How's the Columbia shirt holding up for you? I'm still beating mine up, and besides the few scattered burn holes it's doing well.

Long pants are for wimps;)....................Of course my legs look like I might be a land mine survivor.:grumpy:

hey joe, why does the website list them as short length? I take a 34 in inseam with a 33 in waist. Will they be flood pants on me?
thanks bro and good review again

Craghopper makes three different lengths - short, regular and long. I believe the lengths are 31", 33" and 35" respectively.

Joe thanks for the review! I had been wondering where he got those trousers since I have seen them hold up under some hard use that I know would have destroyed most clothing.

Just one question. Do they maske that famous nylon rubbing noise when you walk in them?
