.
I mean I have a picture of it lol. It is 21" long and Frost made the repros out of 440?. Frost does not sell it any more and they can't get specs on it. I am searching to find Sonny Landham's e-mail address, because sometimes the "stars" get to keep wanted props. I would like to get the specs on the blade and have one made. I need suggestions "if" I got the specs on which steel to use, where to get a sheath made for it and where to have it made please. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

I mentioned this in another post, but the knife you seek is a Crain Life Support System, and yes, Jack Crain did sell them to the public some years ago, good luck finding one though

Why not get in touch with Mr Crain directly. His address and phone # are in any of the Warner books. If anyone could get you the specs he would be the one since he designed and made the various knives for the movie.

I would love to contact him directly, although Mr.s "lile" and A.G. Russell himself told me he can't be found lately. Something about letting the movie success go to his head and oweing money etc.

By the way fellas................The blade I was referring to was not the "life support system" blade that was used in Commando. This one was used by "Billy" the native american point-man in "Predator". It's about 21" long and is much larger than the life support system. frost cutlery made one with a walnut display case that sold for 300 about 12 years ago. I have a faxed picture of it. I just can't get the specs on it to have one made for me. I even thought about finding Sonny Landham "billy" himself to see if He might have kept his prop just for kicks.

Every year DBI Books publishes a Knives Book. The new one is Knives 99 and it's edited by Ken Warner. If you collect knives or even have a passing interest the Warner books are like the knife collectors bible.Everything from whats new coming from custom makers to new factory models and complete lists of address'es for all the makers, mfgs etc.It also features engravers.schrimers.leather works etc etc.Do yourself a favor and check one out.I have them going back to 1981.
