Crap...Frost River went out of business?

I had been drooling over the FR woodsman for awhile and then forgot about it. Was reminded today when I read a post saying that Frost River went out of business.

Anyone know what happened?

Anyone know where to find a bag similar to the woodsman?

That's the stuff of the true country gent right there. I could imagine if you got a bag from there it would stay with you until you had at least some gray hair if not a grandchild. There's some great looking gear there but I had a look at the Gransfors axe price and laughed so hard I was in danger of some pee coming out.

Jeez, no kidding. Cost is one of the reasons I haven't even bothered thinking about getting a duluth pack. FR was slightly cheaper.

Their packs are worth it.

I bought one FR pack and the construction and quality was only fair.

They looked nice packs but from the real pix I saw they seemed rather too massive. I'm ooking for an old school rucksack style day pack in traditional materials.
