Crazy big spider!!! Tarantula???

One of my high school science teachers had a pet tarantula. it was a pretty cool, mellow pet. You didn't have to worry about it biting you - if you startled it, it would start rubbing its abdomen, kicking up these fibers that burn like fiberglass. pretty neat defense mechanism.

Biggest one that I ever saw was in Bolivia. They call them "bird spiders" and the bastards HISS. F-THAT!!!

We do this thing we call Spider fishing. Its where you find a Tarantula hole and take a long piece of grass and move it around the hole like a bug and wait for the spider to come out. Even though you are expecting it it kinda freaks you out when they come out all of a sudden.

I'm more comfortable around gators.

Seen plenty of them hiking in the hill and some in the desert.. They realy are harmless. On a group hike i seen a guy drop everything and start running, yelling like a girl, When one of those Tarantulas climbed on his finger.. Need to find a pic where im holding it in my hand. On a cold morning if you find one of them pick it up and look at the face... NOW thats a face that can scare the evil out of you lol. Good for you that you didnt kill it.

Im not afraid of spiders but if a wild tarantula unexpectedly climbs on my finger, I will be uttering loudly.
