True confessions...I couldn't stop myself. Don and I have been talking "next knife" for a while. This one rocked me. My wife heard the thud of my body hitting the floor, spent a few minutes ogling the pics on my computer screen then realized she'd better revive me
The stag caught my attention first: texture, color, and shape in that order.
Then my eyes jumped to the blade. The damascus pattern commanded my attention. Yes sir, that's what I like! My brain said...Right size, love the shape...the clip!
Then I saw that butt

I hope my wife didn't hear me softly say "oh damn, look at that butt" before I fainted. As I write this I realize she was probably looking for something else on the screen and deciding what to do with me!
Upon awakening I looked at Coops detail shots. Great job capturing the essence of this knife, Jim! Thank you!!!
I had to get beyond the first butt cap pic, which took a while. Then I was able to appreciate the spacer and the "negative" coloring effect, which really complements the overall look. The guard caught me next with the swirling damascus pattern and the shaping/flaring.
I went back to the first pic and noticed how much I like the form in the area of the ricasso (spine to edge). Great shapes, angles, and depth also reflected in the 2nd detail pic.
So, off to Paul, who graciously agreed to create a suit befitting this knife. Can't run around with a naked Hanson at my side

I'm excited to see this knife in the flesh with a Paul Long sheath to finish off the package. All joking aside, I am really pleased with so many aspects of this knife. It will join the knives below as my third stag Hanson.
