One of my best friends, who is our pilot, has an 11 year old son who loves knives. So I decided to plant a seed and gave him my beloved BK-17. He is in love. I told him how to take care of it and he is willing and ready.

He just ran off into the maiden cane to put it to use. We'll see what happens.... :)

I'm excited. Maybe we'll see him on here in a couple years.

Here we are. Well our hands at least. Me with my new 10 and LJ with his new to him 17 with custom scales by TPVT(thanks Todd!).

Thanks guys! That means a lot.

Here's how he is carrying it.

That surely was a nice thing you did ;)
Now that Rat1 around his neck needs to be replaced with a 11 or 14 and he's ready to conquer the world.

Has he Tandemed with you yet, or too young? As others have said..+1 for you and your kindness.

Spyderco around his neck. And no jump yet. Gotta be 18 unfortunately. Just got done taking a 267 pound dude though! Off again I'll check back after a few loads.

Thank you very much for the kind words guys.

:D
good deal Hugh!
nice looking scales, too.
what do you plan on doing with the cane?

Seated exit. C-182, it's a squeeze, ha! And that cane is just garbage pretty much. It's called maiden cane so it doesn't yield sugar unfortunately. And the stalks are fairly weak. You could make a shelter with a bunch of it though.

...Earning your pay today!!! LOL!

Haha! Yes. Good thing we charge $1 extra over 200lbs and that goes straight to the instructor so that's a new BK for me. ;)

And it makes the exit a bit easier. All that weight up front goes down to earth faster and helps with stability a little faster.

Nice jump.

Ha Ha, you should be picking all the Heavy Drops!!! Yeah, New BK's for sure!! Long Day Though..Strong lower back!! Good Job!

 I do take all the big boys. :) More work but more money. I'm a big boy specialist now. My record so far is 6'8" 287lbs. He carried me on his back when we got hooked up!

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!...how many times did you have to adjust his harness on the way up?? Did you tailgate that one??:D

Only once on the ground. No need for more. And all done from a Cessna these days. I've jumped tailgate aircraft, hot air balloons, etc.

Cool, you know your craft  I wouldn't ride in a Hot Air Balloon WITHOUT a chute:D

thats a cool jesture always nice too see kids get into the outdoors and adults helping them along!

You're a very corrupting influence, doing something like that. Nice job.

Did you cut off the second webbing snap strap on the sheath or did it come like that?
