I am a merchant. As one, my merchant agreement with my credit card processors requires I send the item as soon as the card is charged. There is no reason for ANY company to charge your card and not deliver the product for months. It doesn't matter, from my perspective, what their policy is as a company. They are required to meet certain requirements in order to process credit cards. One of my requirements is shipment deadlines. Hell, they've got your card number. They can keep that on file and charge when they deliver. In short, I would contact your credit card company and explain the situation. I am sure they can offer a solid solution.
