My daughter ran across this snake on the hike out this week. I was up ahead with the two little ones when I heard Erin scream like a girl...
He was about a meter long, non-poisonous.
These are part of a huge army of termites headed back to their mound after a night out chomping grass in the cerrado. They're about half an inch long. This trail of bugs stretched off about 30 meters, about 30 cm wide.
My son found this wasp nest in the grass. They swarm outside the nest if disturbed but don't attack unless they are messed with.
