This is my Crescent model. I primarily designed it to be a general use EDC knife, although it is quite capable in a defensive role. This knife is great for pocket or belt carry, and is lightweight. While this is a utility knife, it has a very elegant and unique appearance.
As you can see, this knife has an extremely unique finish. This particular knife incorporates my "Rorschach" finish. I feel that this is an appropriate name, as everyone I show it to seems to see different things in the random pattern on the blade.
I call this particular variation the "Spatter" pattern, as it resembles random blood spatter. This design is cut into the steel, and will not come off unless it is ground off. This finish is completely unique for each blade.
The handle is quite comfortable in any grip. The nylon wrap is tight and uniform; very well done. The wrap has been carefully impregnated with epoxy to avoid the "plastic" look. The grip is quite secure; I don't see anyone dropping it. The under wrap is genuine sting ray skin that has been dyed an eggplant shade. The menuki is a highly detailed vampire bat; quite appropriate for the "Spatter" finish.
The knife is ground with a 14" contact wheel, with high hollow chisel grind. (Right hand user) The edge is nice and thin, making it an outstanding cutter. I've ground a swedge along the spine to aid in penetration.
I've included a few extra pictures to show the small details. As you can see, it just started to sprinkle outside while I was taking pictures.
