Cress kiln suitable for HT?

are these ovens used by anyone here for HT?
They don't all have ramp controls and such but they seem to be priced well and more available used. and they are more of a vertical over than a knife maker's horizontal style

I found a model B-18-H for $400, 220 V single phase input, gets to 2,250 F

thoughts?

it just goes up to temp and shuts off....

Can't your just wire up a PID & relays?

I think the shut off on those can be bypassed easily.

I started out with a Cress, but it did have control. I ended up bypassing their controller and found a killer deal on a plug n play Orton digital. For the furnace’s size, it has served me well.

I found another one, a model C133 which has temp control, so will check that one out
