Thanks. I've been waiting for Ray to list one of these again, it's been a while since I saw one up here. So I wasn't going to waste time, or miss it, again.

I have one--you'll love it. Kind of a Spyderco Mini-Manix except with better ergonomics and not broken in the middle. ;)

Is it my imagination or is the blade on this one a little wider than on the first couple we saw? Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words. The blade on this one is a little bigger overall than the others. I don't use templates or do a lot of measuring. I go mostly by feel so all of my knives will be a little different.

T1mpani, I have a question for you: how much does it weigh?

Sorry, but I don't have a scale small enough to measure. It's not very heavy--can hardly feel it at all on a medium/wide belt. Since this one here is slightly larger, I imagine it's a bit more.

I second that! The handle looks real comfy! Could you let us know how you like it when you get it?

Will do. It just looks like it would fit perfectly into the hand, doesn't it? Like I said before, I've been admiring Ray's work for a while, and have always been late on these threads until now. I'm very excited about this piece. I'll post some action pics when it gets here!

Hello all,

I'm not raindog101, but I just got a Cricket in the mail, and I am totally impressed!!
The thing fits my hand like a glove, and the fit and finish are outstanding.

This knife is going to be one of the anchors in my edc rotation.

I have to agree with Gratenate. This thing just melts into my hand. I was afraid that the grip would be a little short, but it turned out to be perfect. I saw the utility knife Ray posted right after this one, and started to have second thoughts (that one looked really nice, Ray), but as soon as I held this one in my hand, it felt like Ray had made it just for me. I can't wait to get out and use this one, it seems like it would make an awesome skinner!

And sharp! Did I mention sharp? This knife quite simply is the sharpest knife I've ever received "out of the box", so to speak. Great convex edge.
