You're right Mike. Not too many of these around. The round shield is quite rare and the blade configuation isn't common at all either. Thanks for the comments guys.

Have you ever spoken to anyone that saw the machine that Cargill invented for that honey comb jigging? Maybe that's just a rumor? I'm curious about some of the related knife things he invented.
All I can tell you Mike is that if Cargill couldn't find the tool he needed he would make one to fit his needs. Having his own bone jigger wouldn't be out of the ordinary. I'm sure he did the same with tools that weren't knife related.
