CRITISISM

Naw not armor piercing, armor crushing. (As the inserts would be in the handles not the blade) I really like to use the handles as a flail when I work out on a cutting practice target, think nunchukas with a blade.

Mario, if you are not critisizing the price of the BM or whatever, then you better explain what you are trying to say. Instead of going off like that.

21? Not quite that big. That monster is a 2-man lift. No, big boy is a 33A.

Ok, now for my two cents worth.....

Give me a Valor anyday!

I have had BM, Jaguars, cheapos, Frost, Parker Bros, and Batangas. The best I have ever had for solid daily, work use was a Valor.

You're right Jonathan, the Valor is a nice user piece! Don't know if it's the best I've ever owned but they've held up well for me. Good point sir!

Thank you Sabo. I said the "best I ver had for daily, solid use." I put my Valor version of the BM 259 through hell. It has done everything from flips to pulling nails. I carried it as a serious work knife for 16 years. It still works as good as the day I bought it. I prefered the thicker blade of the Valor over the BM as well. Was afraid of breaking the BM models, or scratching them up to bad. A $20 Valor was easier to abuse than a $90 BM.

True, I find that my Taylor adapts itself to daily use better for me. It's shorter than my BM42 and I prefer the flush pins of it to the pins on my BM30. It is a Tanto and the handles have a slight curve that feels natural in my hands. The rosewood inserts are smooth to the touch but provide the right amount of friction. Mine is the stainless handled version so thats what I'm speaking for. I AM NOT saying it is better than a BM because I know certain aspects are not. I prefer it over the BM's that I have but I am trying to get used to a Bm30 for daily carry.

I just started buying Balisongs. I have a cheapie china one and a rostfrei. I've been flipping the rostfrei for 3 days and it wobbles like crazy. But I want to know how long before the pins or anything else breaks. I really want to know for safety reasons. I've been using my cheap one for a little over 2 weeks and nothing has broken or anything. And BTW, I can't afford a BM. I wish I could, but I can't. Is there anything in between a Jag and BM for the price of a Jag. All you people with BMs are saying Jag's and Rostfreis are POS comparing it to BMs, but what about just talking about the knives. They're not that bad, right? And is there anywhere that would sell used BMs or whatever?

well first of all, IF you find a used BM its going to cost A LOT because odds are it'll be an old production bali which are worth lots anyway. and second, I HIGHLY doubt that anyone who owns a BM42 would ever think of selling it.

and there really isn't anything of higher quality than a jag for that price.

all I can say is save your pennies!

I just sold a 42 also, and at $90 shipped; not a bad deal at all. Hehe, dreams do come true. I got a BM30 with the extra cash and the other guy scored a BM42 at a decent price.

I'm pissed. I have a freind at school who I just got interested in the Balisong. He's never even held one before and he wanted one so I gave him some sites and guess what his dad is gonna buy him... A BM 42.... He's never even friggin touched a Balisong before and first one is gonna be a BM 42... I hope he sucks at it so he'll sell it to me or something.

Why the anger?

My first was a BM45. Nobody was a dick to me about it.

You should be happy, not an *******.

Just my 2¢
