Spent most last week down at the camp fishing. Did pretty well, and snapped some pics of different swamp critters to share.

Ibis

A couple more gators. Thick this time of year, literally dozens in view at night in any one spot.

The rare skunk ape foraging for food, oh wait.

Thanks for sharing. Whenever I visit Florida (relatives down there), I hate it for the flatness and monotony for the first day or two, then by the end of the trip I'm in love with it.

Love those mangroves. That osprey perch is really cool looking too - if it had arm's you'd think it was an Ent. Great shots all around!

Awesome pics man! What part of the panhandle. I was stationed at Hurlburt Field AFB for a few years, I use to love going fishing over there. Nice crappy!

cool pics. i don't like florida for the lack of northern hardwoods...but those are very nice pics. it would be nice to get down there for a week or two to check out the wilderness. sadly, i have only been in the cities and beaches of florida.

great pics man... i have never been to FL. or any kind of marshy swamp land before...:o

Not far, about 30 miles east of Panama City, on the west side of the Apalachicola National Forest. My buddy was stationed at Eglin and worked at Hurlburt a good bit. We got two dozen crappies and a couple of catfish that particular day. Fly fished the rest of the week for bream.

Open invite Mike, bring your bow.
