CRK 1-piece butt caps

I was talking to another member some time ago about the old hexagonal butt caps, and the different colors they were offered in. I wanted one, but they seemed unobtainable at least from my looking. So I decided if I couldn’t find an original I may as well make some. These are about as close as I could make them without having an original in hand to measure up. I finally got some Gunkote and finished a few in both large and small. Not originals, but they scratch my itch all the same.

Resurrecting an old thread, but I finally got my grubby little hands on CRK grey Gunkote, and have been eyeballing some small compasses. I am wondering if the compass thing is just cool or actually practical.

I have not seen any that were very accurate. Have you experimented with them to see how well they work both in and out of the cap?

I haven’t, but know what you’re talking about. I was looking at a couple that get decent reviews, not the cheap ones a guys sees all over Amazon etc.
