CRK 5 year wait and no more Damascus

All I ever truly wanted them to do a run of was Damascus Insingos. I would pay whatever I had to to get a PJ Sebbie with a Dam Insingo blade.

That would be awesome. I've wondered myself if there would ever be on. I think I read there would never be polished or damascus blades for Insingo due to the "thinness" the blade tapers out to at the edge - not enough material. Don't quote me on that though.

Yes that is the often repeated line, but there are myriad knives out there with all shapes and size blades made in Damascus so I don't really know if that claim holds water. The drop point comes to a pretty thin stabby point too and that doesn't seem to be an issue. Or delete the swedge and just call it a modified sheepsfoot. I don't know. In any case, It would have been awesome.

I had about eight different CRKs at one point but just three have stayed with me for years: large plain 21 Insingo, large KnifeArt Carbon 21 Insingo, and small Inkosi drop point. I don't really like small Sebbies (but I do like the small Inkosi) and I don't really like the large drop point blade that much. So I am limited to large Insingos more or less. I tried the Mnandi and Zaan and they weren't really ideal for me. I would love to add a new CRK but have trouble finding something that I will love as much as what I already have. I think the one thing that still would grab my attention would be a large PJ Damascus 21. Maybe I need to keep an eye on the Exchange... haha

I just want the large inkosi pdw wave. I got an Umnumzaan in magnacut today. Sure wasn’t gonna wait 6 years.

A couple of year ago I ordered a large sebenza PJ. A few days ago I got the call from Idaho that it as ready. During that period I bought a large sebenza PJ from a dealer so no longer needed it. I wonder how many people make an order, and with the long wait times find what they want beforehand, and then cancel their order?

I don't know but I'm seeing dealer drops, even for exclusive editions, sit available for a lot longer than they did only a year or two ago. Maybe people are finally settling down.
