I am way late posting this. I early June I had to make a trip to Boise so a trip to CRK's was a must. I was driving so I took my Zann for a spa treatment. I got there at about 1 PM on Thursday. Knowing it takes a couple of weeks or more to get a knife done I asked when we went in what time they closed. The answer was 5:30 pm. So being the wise ass I am at times I said great here is my knife I be back before then to pick it up. Well joke on me! Heather said "I am sure we can do that what is your number we will call you"! Well I almost hit the floor. Really I said she said yes we have time I am sure. She went in the back and came out and said sure. WOW. I was looking at the display case and trying not to drool on the glass. I looked in the back and said "so is that were it all happens" Heather said yes do you want to see it ! Again I almost hit the floor. Of course I said YES. Out came the quality control guy. He took my wife and I on at least a 30 min. trip thru the whole place. Taking time to answer any question I had ( which were many) with the great respect of my ignorance. When it was all over my wife told him this was the best birthday present he could ever have gotten. He said it is our birthday? Yes what size shirt do you wear? Large. English or Zulu? Zulu. So I now have a tee shirt that now one knows what it says and I love it.
I was treated like I bought knives from them every week or I was a dealer. They made my wife and I feel like we were top flight customers. And yes they called at 4:30 PM to say my knife was ready.
I can not say enough about their knives, their employees and the owners. Everything about CRK's is top flight.

Love to hear stories like this. And thanks, my knife was late coming back because of you---JUST KIDDING!!

Lucky you, I'd love a tour. Oh, and your shirt says "Think twice, cut once".

Thanks and hope you get to someday. It was a real treat. I know what is says but no one else does which is fun.....see them looking with a funny look on their face. I know there are many on here that would get some much more out of that tour than I did I wish everyone gets that chance.

Super cool! Tour sounds great. I would love to meet Chris, i hear* he is not the most social person but would still be an awesome experience.

Outstanding experience you were able to share with us Bill. Thanks!!!!!!
How old is the avatar pic? I haven't seen you post in a while.
Hope all is good on your end and everyone is happy and healthy.

Hi my friend, everything is find and dandy just busy at work. The avatar is about 3 or 4 months old. The little one is not 7 mo. and getting ready for ND pheasant hunting under the supervision of Zoee the older one. If I do not screw up Abbee I am sure she will be a great pheasant dog.
It was a wonderful experience and I am lucky to live so close....you and many others on here would really love it.
Keep safe

This is why you must always store CRKs in your top drawer. They deserve the respect. What a class act.

I hear so many stories like this about CRK, and hope to experience it myself one day, but really, i dont see a need to send it in for at least 10 years haha. If anything, I'd have sharpen the blade to a stub before it needs servicing.

Hmmmm.... I'm in Boise right now for a few days, maybe I'll drop by. I've been thinking about swapping my classic blade for an insingo, I'm sure they could help with that.

Awesome experience, Bill. Glad you got to have it. CRK really is made up of very fine folks. Heather's response sounds like no surprise, she rocks!
