CRK Grease: The Final Attempt

It's unfortunate that the written materials that came with the Sebenza do not state how important it is to use grease, as opposed to other forms of lubes. It's strange that the lube I use on virtually ever other knife I own, including other frame locks, does not work on the Sebenza.

Lubricant is lubricant but any grease will probably migrate less than a lighter oil and attract less lint. Lubricity isn't the issue, migration and lint collection are . . .

A rose is a rose, but lubricant is not lubricant There is a whole area of materials science devoted to lubrication, tribology. I believe you can even get a doctorate in it. Per CRK, the issue is both lubrication and protection.
