Crk lock movement

Just wanted to touch base with some of the other CRK users who have more experience in this topic that I do. I understand it is not a typical for a sebenza to have a much later lock up then some other framelock folders. That said I recently purchased a version that had fairly early lock up for a CRK. After a week or two and admittedly quite a few more openings then necessary I noticed that the lock up has gotten noticeably later than it started (and also gotten smoother). Just curious if I should expect this to continue to travel or if it is common for it to move significantly as it breaks in and then settle in to a reasonable lock up?

Thanks skyhorse, I figured that was the case. Really liking this knife!

It will travel a bit until it seats and mates with the tang, then it will stay there for a very very long time. Use it and enjoy.

Chris has said that he prefers new Sebbies to lock up at about 80%. They really don't change from that point, and I wouldn't be concerned one little bit...

It's just breaking in and it will settle, not to worry. Congrats!

Yep, this is your answer.
Don't sweat it, just use it and let it work for you as it is designed to. You will come to see that you can trust it to do so without hiccup or complaint.

Is 80% lock up the norm for all CRK's ? Or just Sebenzas ?

Generally speaking, I have had Sebenzas start at 50% lockup up to about 75%.
The folders that have the ceramic ball no. The ball is roughly centered in the lockbar, so it would be difficult to get it at 80% if you are judging lockup at the center of the ball to the tang.
