What new knives did they announce?Noticed that all Sebenza 31 tanto and Insingo blades are listed as Magnacut.
Kinda got me excited. I hope they start pumping them out soon.
Heat treat seems good as well and they announced a couple new knives.....
Live on their website now. What new knives did they announce?
I believe Tim Reeve stated his intention to move all the knives to magnacut.Don't be surprised if Chris Reeve standardizes on Magnacut... even for the fixed blades, where they have just started making the fixed blades from CPM 4V.
... he said that at Blade Show, 2021 (more than hinted at it). Tim indicated that having one steel would simplify metallurgical identification in their shops.I believe Tim Reeve stated his intention to move all the knives to magnacut.
Ah, great... thanks for the heads-up. A link to said podcast would be appreciated. He said in a podcast I listened to that they should have everything switched over to MagnaCut by the end of this year.
Thats great! Im interested to try the stuff out. I was impressed with CRKs s45vn. I can edc my knife for like a month and it will still shave. It wont shave great but it'll still do it. Pretty impressive.I was lucky to score a small 31 w. the Insingo blade in Magnacut. Over the last few days I cut three 25M old climbing ropes into skipping ropes and demolished a bunch of outdated climbing harnesses too with the knife (I work in a climbing gym). I gotta say that I am highly impressed with both the blade and steel. I cant really tell any difference between before and after all this cutting. Good stuff.
