Hello B.F. Folks. So I was on my way to work this morning and I saw a woman broke dowm on the side of the road so I stopped and saw tat her tire was flat. She was clueless and almost in tears so I got down on the ground and got out her spare, or doughnut, as I call them on those tiny combacts and changed her tire for her. She was relieved and happy as could be and I was happy because I did my one good deed of the day. So I got to work and reached down and oh crap, my edc was gone. It was my Large Sebenza Regular with a Swedge. I couldn't believe it. I I hauled ass back to where her car was parked on the side of the road but found nothing. The I began to think that what if this woman got her tire changed and got a new sebbie for free in the process. I was so mad I felt like kicking my door in but since my door didn't steal my Sebenza away I decided that wasn't a good idea. So before you go out and help someone always make sure you do a knife check and I would have never though of it but when I was laying flat on the ground thats when it must have come out. It was in darn fine shape too. Im hoping that the Sebenza Gods are watching down on me and will send some of you to the "Knives Wanted" section where I put up a post and will pay Strong money for a replacement. I just feel so naked now with one of my edc's missing in my rotation. I guess the motto of the day is even when you stop to help someone in need it can always bite you in the butt. Thanks for listening and we all know how it feels to lose a knife and I hope that I can replace mine. Take care all and let the Sebenza Gods shine upon you like never before.

That really sucks, but don't let that stop you from helping:o
I have been there with the lost Sebenza, and it is not fun. Just think, you get to pick out a new one now:thumbup:

It makes sense that she might have picked it up. I wonder if there is some section in the local paper. Perhaps a personal where you could leave a note. "Hey, remember me? I'm the good looking guy who stopped to change your tire. Did I happen to leave my big expensive knife in your trunk? If so, give me a call. Gallantry is one thing but that's a Sebenza!"

So unfortunate....

I hope things smooth over for you.
I feel your pain losing a knife that is not readily replaceable and near extinct.

There is an old saying, "No good deed will go unpunished". :D

Hasn't stopped me from doing good stuff though.

Was a bad day for sure and I hope you either find your Sebenza or find a suitable replacement. You deserve to be rewarded!

Your good deed will be rewarded in your next life. You could come back as a Sebenza dealer.

Oh man, that is indeed a bummer.... Maybe it's in the trunk of her car? I hope you come across it someday soon..

You can always get a new knife, but the opportunity to help someone is rare and you should feel good about what you did.

Sucks and I hope a replacement finds its way to you, good on you for helping someone in need:thumbup:

I once left my trusty Benchmade 940 under the hood of my car. As I drove off, it fell out of the engine bay and into my parking space. Came back couple hours later to thankfully still see it there. More than likely, no one saw it.

I do feel your pain though. Sucks to lose your EDC "friend," especially at CRK prices. I now carry a plain large Insingo and am very happy with it. I really hope she makes it back to you.

I went back again after dinner and looked for it and still no luck. I've pretty much accepted the fact that its gone. Now if I could just find another one. Come on Sebenza Gods...

Sorry to hear that.
I'm always afraid of loosing a good knife - that's why I carry mine in a belt-pouch.
I keep my fingers crossed, that you might find it again.
Maybe in your own car?

Check the local paper or craigslist site for an ad listing a vague description:
"Man with big heart helped me yesterday and I have something to return to him. You know who you are so email/text me."

Somehow Karma always knows but works to its own schedule. Good luck.

Ah, that's an absolute shame. I hope the good karma you received from helping a lady in distress helps you find it quickly!

If you even glanced at her license plate, you could get hypnotized and recall the plate numbers. Only works if you glanced at it. Then you could get the police to help you track her down and check her trunk.

It should be mandatory that anyone too clueless to change a tire has AAA. I hope you find your knife. You paid a high price for helping the helpless.

It hurts, the empty dark void is large but don't dwell on it, for it is gone. Order a replacement now, not later and may the healing begin.
