CRK Motto of the day- "Don't Help Anyone".

while it might be a bit tedious, when either you or the lady drove away, maybe your tires flung it a few feet aways. Try again, and look around the area, might still be around the area. Losing the seb does suck, but i'm sure you made her day

put up a sign in the area, "lost knife" like you would for a dog. She may find it in her trunk, want to return it but not know how. She may see the sign.

Maybe it's in your car...did you even have it before you went out in the morning?

Thanks for all of your ideas and support. I'm positive that I had it when I left the house. It was that knives turn in my edc rotation and I always bring a knife to work. I ripped my truck apart and it is no where to be found. I left for work early and stopped at where I thought was the exact spot that she had stopped and looked all over but found nothing. If it would have fallen out I would have heard it hit the ground so that is why I assume that it fell out when I was under her car getting out her spare tire. You know, the ones that are under the rear end of the car and you have to lower it down to access it. Because if it came out then I wouldn't have heard it hit the ground and thats all that I can figure out. Who knows, maybe Ill see her again or maybe it will turn up but my gut tells me that it is gone and I just have to get over it and try to replace it. Why couldn't it have been a day that I carry my large 21 or my Star-tac? Well, all I can do now is hope that Karma throws me a bone and try to find one to replace it, until then my edc rotation is in shambles.

I really doubt she picked it up. She was afraid and intimidated by her plight and people in that state have tunnel vision. I doubt she saw or remembers much for a couple of hours after the incident. you did a good deed, not many do that much anymore. You deserve a new Seb, with inlays!

+1 on the belt pouch!

Sorry for your loss! Do you have other edc blades or are you knifeless now?

You done good. The loss of the knife really has nothing to do with your helping someone in need. I hope you find it but as one who looses stuff all the time; remember it's just stuff.

I think we are all feeling your pain and throwing as much good Karma and prayers in your direction. I'm getting a case.

Good perspective.

Miracle. I finally found a Large Regular with a swedge! It has taken me 7 months but it is finally replaced. Thank you so much to AKwild. I have my baby back and even though I lost my first one helping that woman change her flat tire. This one feels just as smooth and is in great condition. Thank you and good Karma can come back to help you.

Ok, all you know for now is that you can't find it. Did you use it to change the tire, or think it fell out while you were on the ground?Sometimes you will remember what happened when you least expect it. Please don't let it bitter you to the feeling you got by helping someone out... Bart

Glad you found a replacement. You certainly deserve the replacement after the kind deed you did when you lost the original large regular.

Thank you for the kind words. I hope the sebbie serves you well!

Lost a vintage (60's) Randall #5-6" on a deer hunt.... was pretty sick about that! Bart

Good deeds have value unto themselves, both for the provider and the recipient. The action of the good deed outweighs the event of the loss. In the future you can look back and think "that was a good knife"; in the present you can think "I've been a good person today."

Lost my grail EDC, a small reg Sebbie with A DT Raindrop blade, while on a 6 mile hike, that included Wetlands, pavement, and beach sand. Noticed it gone at about the 5 mile point. Spent the next 3 hrs backtracking my steps, but, only a fond memory...

replaced with a sm 21 w/ DT raindrop blade, added a Barry H scale...

Moved on, but still miss her. But the Karma from a good deed, not so easy to loose, I'd still help again, maybe checking the sebbie in the pocket more often.

Chances are the person who picked it up doesn't even know what they have. I lost my small sebenza once and I was going crazy looking for it. I was in college at the time and 3 or 4 days after I lost it I was sitting in class and the professor says that someone turning in a very nice pocket knife and If anyone could describe it he would give it back. I ran up and told him what is looked like after class and was so happy to get it back. There are good people in the world. Don't give up hope.
