i, like most of you, have a severe passion for knives. i was thrilled when i happened upon a 1660cgt kershaw leek on ebay last year. this is the one with the s30v blade. great knife.

i am very happy with my amazing quality edc. the handle, blade, smooth action, everything.

i just can't stop thinking about crk though. i find myself still wanting one. a crk uses the same metal. i am just wondering how much better a crk can possibly be better than my 1 of 250 limited edition leek.

i just might find myself buying a crk, and i don't want to be disapointed with my high expectations. is a crk that good? if some of you have never handled one of these limited edition marvels, i strongly recommend one.

Maybe I'm being stupid. Idunno.
Are you referring to Columbia River Knife and Tool?
If so, then yes, they make quite a few good knives.
Not all of them are up to the stringent standards as
alot of the members here live by.(myself included) Just pick out
a model using your Leek as a guideline.
There is nothing wrong with your Leek, but
as a knifenut myself I like to buy more and more and more. :)

If you're referring to a Kershaw model CRK then I haven't seen one.

Now if you're referring to something else (crk) then I'm lost.

Anyway, if you're looking for a new addition, good hunting and good luck

Sorry, forgot about Chris Reeve. (how did I do that)

By all means, Redsox is right. You will definitely be happy
what that purchase.

I just went to a gun show last weekend and was able to play with a few Sebenzas (along with several Benchmades, Kershaws, and SOGs). They are beautiful knives and the fit and finish is amazing. That being said, I don't think I'd carry one as an EDC. I'd be too worried about scratching it up or lending it to some idiot who couldn't tell the difference between a $300+ knife and $10 POS knife and watch him mess it up. I still want a Sebenza, but it will be for collecting and light use. I have a Leek (1660ST) and a S30v Blur I trade off for EDC (and soon a BM Mini Ruckus). I just can't justify to myself spending more than $150 on an EDC knife that I'm going to beat on. But your case may be different.

You will be very happy with your CRK Sebbie!! You CAN NOT go wrong with a Sebenza!

get a doug ritter gripper save three hundred dollers and buy a bark river bravo1 for a 170.00 then take the old lady out make her smile the ritter is a great knife and you can use it and not worry and the bark river is a sweet knife i just got it but i have two of the ritters and swear by them check them out on the forum

I got a CRK Small Classic Sebenza about 2 months ago. It is amazing in design and contruction. Extreme quality. I carry and use it daily. It is made for hard use. Buy and don't look back. You will not regret it.

I have a few in both patterns. You will not be sorry with a Sebenza. Compared to the other big players in the knife world, CRK stands all alone.

do you own one?

what do you love about it?

Here's what I love about it:

1. Simplicity: There are very few parts, and it's easy to take apart and clean.
2. Quality: Perfectly manufactured. No blade play in any direction. Solid blade lock-up.
3. Durability: Titanium handles, S30V blade, perhaps one of the toughest knives out there.

In other words, it's perfect. :)

EDIT: oh yeah, I also love that it has a pivot bushing. (you can tighten the pivot screw all the way down without worrying about tension)

I have to tell you, Sebenza is nothing but 2 pieces of Ti and 1 piece of steel... But it is the best folder knife of the world!

Or you may try Mnandi... it has 2 pieces of wood beside.;)

Since I became a knife nut about five years ago, I've owned well over 100 folding knives--and ended up selling almost all of them. My very favorite folder is by far and away my large Classic micarta Sebenza. By the way, my very favorite fixed blades are made by Bob Dozier.

Four months ago I would have told you don't waste your money. I couldn't at the time justify spending that kind of $ for a folder. The curiosity kept eating at me so I finally had to find out for myself. I was able to get my hands on a Unique Graphic small classic for substantially less $ than new by buying a used one. Well, until you actually get one in your hands nobody will be able to convince you whether you should get one or not. Since I got that first one, I've purchased 3 more. There is a difference in the fit and finish. Whether or not that justifies the higher price to you, only you will be able to determine that. The good side is if you're not happy with it, you can sell it pretty quick and usually get your money back.

That's it right there. Hard to justify until you get one in your hands, and then you see what it's all about. I bought an expensive folder - and the other choice was CRK - and was not disappointed at all. My fianl reason to choose it was something along the lines of what an old SF acquaintance once said: "Some day I'm gonna buy a nice engraved Belgain Browning shotgun and go duck hunting with it, throw in in the bottom of the boat, and let it get rained on. "

Wht good is a fine tool locked in a safe? You gotta use it, and I use mine everyday. It's the only way to truly appreciate it.

this probably sums up how i feel.

thanks for all the help guys. i think i am going to save up the coin for one. yes, my wife gives me a weekly allowance. otherwise i'd spend all my money on knives and cars.

let me just clarify, there are no springs or anything inside these knives. wow, i didn't think anyone did that anymore.

how long has crk been around? i am just inquiring if his knives have appreciated any.
