CRK or Strider - Another Take

You're gun stopped working when you moved, eh? I live in the same state, but you won't catch me selling any guns. I have a feeling that, farily soon, there will be a much bigger demand for guns than SnGs or Sebenzas, but I could be wrong. Back on topic, I'd suggest you get yourself the Spyderco Military and forget about the others.;)

Regards,
3G

The Gun works great, (S&W .38 Special Airweight) but I have many others that do a much better job defending my home (Kimber, Glock, Kahr), since my home is the only thing I am allowed to defend in California.

I agree. There already seems to be a shortage. In fact, I got a lot more money for the gun than I expected. I do think demand in going up, but I also expect it to become harder and harder to sell guns. Right now, there are only 5 people who are protecting our gun rights and that could change at any time.

Sorry everyone, I am done taking about guns, and looking forward to getting my new knife. After reading the recommendations, most likely the SNG.

For the same money you could get a Spyderco Military or a Bradley Alias and have enough left over to buy a new Mossberg 500 12 gauge. That's a REAL home defender!

While I went with a SnG over the Large Micarta Sebenza when faced with the choice, if the Umnumzaan had been out it might of ended up different. I suggest you find someplace that carries them and handle them first.

I prefer the SnG... good sized knife w/ a 3" blade... GREAT ergos.... I reckon blade lwngth is a thing to consider in CA as it is here in CO... I MAY try out a Sm Seb 21 this summer, but a new SnG is on the short list. I don;t really care about GG or CC, but whatever it is I think I'd like to try a stonewashed finish.. both SnGs I've owned have been the Heat colored/tiget striped variety... which BTW is really nice looking, as nice as stonewash IMO, in person... I'd just like to try something different.

Sebs are "nicer" knives hands down, but the SnG is more for me.

There is no blade length limit for a folder in CA., unless the city you live in has set limits (i.e. Los Angeles).

Both knives are excellent, but I think the Seb's going to carry easier (Narrower) in the pocket (Small & lg). Also, the small Seb has about the same edge length as the SnG, while being smaller (Of course) & the lg. Seb has quite a bit more blade edge than the SnG.

All that aside, I'm not sure why you'd get rid of a handgun because you moved to Calif., unless it was only for CC & you live in a county that doesn't issue CCWs.

Good luck with whatever you get.
