I just got to thinking while I am patiently waiting for my large sebenza to arrive any day now that I sold two really great knives to fund it's purchase. I sold an cf/m390 military and a Gayle Bradley. Both with excellent steel, fit and finish, etc. The thought selling my black g10/satin para 2 has never once crossed my mind. For me it is just the perfect edc knife and my particular user is absolutely perfect in every way. For now, this is my favorite knife. I am really hoping that changes when I get the sebenza. If I end up liking the sebenza better, I will know without any hesitation that I made a good choice. The para 2 will remain my go to "under $200.00 knife". What's yours?? And why?

Benchmade barrage. I like 154cm, good blade shape, comfy grip that stays good in sweat. Spyderco endura and delica and Kershaw leek also high on my list for cheaper even and decent quality.

I do not own any production knives under $200 any longer...just got rid of them all. It would be a Benchmade Osbourne 940 if I had to choose one though.

It would be my digi-cam Para 1 based on the amount of carry time my knives get. I'm fond of my Gayle Bradley and my Rift, but the P1 gets 80% of the non-Sebenza carry. I've got a P2 as backup for it, but the P1 gets the carry time.

I had a first gen Gayle Bradley I wish I would have never sold. Awesome knife. Super well built.

Sage 1 is the only knife I own under 200 dollars and I have to say I love it just as much as my sebenzas.

I absolutely love my Spyderco Native, its small, great blade steel, and it is the second sharpest knife I own (behind my Sebbie) Great knife

Spyderco Chokwe or my Spyderco Chaparral.
I also have a love for the Sage 2 and my Wilson Combat Elite Level 1.

I don't own this at the moment, but I would say my favorite would be the old Buck/Mayo TNT. I would like to pick another one up some day. Not as good as a Sebenza, but a very good quality knife for the price IMHO

I would say my Spyderco CF Stretch or Benchmade 940 great knives, also the Spyderco Chaparral.

If anyone was ever looking for the tough cousin to the small Sebenza...I would IMHO suggest the Spyderco Techno. I've been talking about it lately and most agree unless left handed(Some of you) that is it amazing. Fit and finish. Tolerances are so close to something 2-3x's it's cost. Very close to a Sebenza. Honest...and I have owned three Sebenza's along with a Mnandi. This is the knife that you want to use. A very good hard user for when you are not quit sure that you want to put the Sebenza through whatever it is. Check one out! Serious.

Benchmade Subrosa 790. You have to shop around, but it can be had for <$200. Awesome knife, reminds me of a lightweight CR with assist. The nitrous assist is excellent and it's roughly the size of a Zaan with a fraction of the weight. Of course, it's not as robust as a Zaan, but more than adequate for most folks EDC needs.

Next would be the Benchmade Mini-Barrage 585, it's a little beast; with the axis assist it's quicker than many autos, built like a tank and an absolutely incredible value given its affordable price tag.

I don't own a Spyderco Para-Military 2, but a fellow customer at a local gun shop let me check his out. I was mighty impressed, everything about that knife was perfect and it's on my hit list.

Right now it would have to be my Spyderco Manix 2 in cts because it cuts so well and never seems to dull. I also have a CF/M390 Millie in addition to my Sebenzas and my Umnumzaan and they usually share pocket time with one another. (one spydie and 1 CRK is what I typically edc)
