CRK Post from 4-19-12

I took a moment to review a few posts from CRK's original thread posted on 4-19-12; their first response to their own post came just a couple of weeks later on 5-7-12 where they posted pictures as well as the video showing the Sebenza that was put through 8000 wrist flicks. The final statement on their post was "What is causing this excessive wear?
We will show you on our next installment." Here we are several months later without the "next installment" and I think it is reasonable and prudent that those interested in the test results can and should keep the interest alive in this thread and simply request the follow-through from CRK as they stated in their own thread. I am not bashing CRK. I am not showing any disrespect to CRK. I am not slandering CRK or their products. In fact, I am doing just the opposite--I love their products and have a great deal of respect for the company and I am hoping that the test results will continue to prove what an outstanding product they have and garner more interest from the general population of knife enthusiasts.

I'm with ya, but there are those that are hell-bent on derailing these threads every time they come up.

Too many posts about each other, too few about the topic. Not that there's much to say about the topic.
We are approaching closing time, last call, gentlemen.

I think you are right about approaching closing time Esav. I don't think some understand Chris will attend to the matter when HE is ready, and has time. You know Chris, he's not going to get badgered into making a post, no matter how many times these few try to get him to.
Thanks, Kenny

I think everyone who visits this thread wants to hear the final results. I believe the difference of opinion is that some people think we can bully Chris into posting, and others realise that our discusion has no effect on when, or if, the results will be posted. Chris is not the kind of man that can be pushed.

At the end of the day, the product speaks for itself. I have not heard or read of anyone who has bought a brand new sebenza, used it and then claimed the steel deformed with regular use. Most of the complains come from people who buy on the secondary market, I've said it before and I'll say it again Buyer Beware. We all know how awesome the sebenza is and that it will last several life times, that's because we use it for it's intended purpose. I know we have certain people out there that like to take things to the extreme and that's what we have here, some one abuses the knife or mix and matches parts from different sebenzas and then sells it. Being that most of us respect and care for our knives, I am also curious to know how stupid and disrespectful someone has to be to cause such damage but that's not something very high on my priority list because I know for a fact that the sebenza and all of Chris Reeve Knives speak for themselves in terms of engineering, materials used and customer satisfaction.

This is unfortunate that these threads always degrade to this level. While the topic is only asking for something with regard to the testing CRK preformed and there isn't much to discuss, I feel it is necessary to let CRK know we haven't forgotten and are still very interested in the results.

I don't understand why this topic can't be brought up without such animosity towards those interested in CRK's testing:thumbdn:

I assure you, watching these threads from the outside, both sides have displayed animosity, which fuels more of the same. As others have said, the thread looks like an attempt to push Chris to post these results. I would think that might have the opposite effect.

Please end the bickering.

I'm in 100% agreement with this post. Well put.
