CRK Sebenza's: Possible to hate some versions but love others?

Large 21 ? Do it!
Insingo ? Do it!
Inlay ? Do it!

Pick your flavour of inlay. I found the micarta provides some real good traction and fills out the knife in hand just that much more for added comfort.

I like all the Sebenza variations. However, I recently traded into a Lg Regular and it's by far my favorite CRK out of my various 21's and 25

After living without a Sebenza for 10+ years I, based on prior experience and handling various models, recently bought a small 21 micarta and a Large 21 plain Insingo. Both are perfect for my purposes. The micarta makes the small more of a handful but is not needed in the wider large.

Guys,

Those of you that have, or have at least tried, both the Large and Small Sebenza's, did you notice any difference in the action/lockup of either? By that I mean was the lockup just as vault tight on the Large as it was on the small?

Thanks again!

I have both and have not noticed a difference in the lockup of either one..I do prefer the large, but that is a personal preference.

I've handled both, no difference in lockup, but I found the small way way harder to open. I have medium sized hands, and it was just too small for me.

This is what I was thinking, too. I kept going over the specs and thinking the small *may* have worked, but I think it will be a bit too small.

OK, back to the large then!

I think I'm really just trying to figure out if I want to go the inlay route or just stick with the titanium slabs. I'm going Insingo either way, but it's just the handle look and feel I'm trying to figure out!

Probably depends on if you are going after presentation to others and yourself for aethetic purposes or utilitarian.

I have both wood inlays and Micarta...I prefer the Micarta for utility such as grip when wet and the inlays in other scenarios.

Good luck with your choice...Either way, both are suited for use!

OK guys, after going back and forth with the Large and Small, I decided it would probably be a good idea to at least *try* the small and see how it fits me. I have size Medium glove hands, so it couldn't be that big a mistake to get one.

I was able to pick up a small 21 insingo (TNK) version with the silver lug and spacer off the forum here, which was good, since they were out of stock everywhere I looked.

Here's the knife:

And the Verdict...

I am absolutely STOKED!!! This fits my hand great, and I LOVE the smoother feel of the 21. It absolutely disappears in the pocket, too! I will probably be picking up a large drop point in the near future, but this was definitely the knife that won me back to CRK!!!

The only downside is that this is probably going to be the start of a CRK Collection.

Oh well, I guess there are worse things out there than a bunch of nice knives!!!

Excellent choice!!! The small TNK Insingo is also my favorite by a long shot!
