CRK sellers remorse....tell us

I have not sold / traded one yet, but always regret turning down an awesome deal i was offered on a mamoth inlay large 21 just over a year ago...

I can't use the word "regret", but I miss EVERY CRK I've ever sold:( Would have loved to keep all of them, but I learned that I appreciated the ones I kept that much more. I don't make a very good collector:)

I sold three of my small collection of 5 last month -

21 insingo large
21 CF Large
21 Wilson Combat Starbenza

For interest's sake I kept my small CF Insingo (possibly the worlds best gentleman's EDC!) and a large 21 'eyes' (the one with the tiger eyes on the slab).

Love both the knives I kept but when I saw the Wilson Combat that dude polished the fluted side flats - regret! Looks stunning!

I sold a left handed one that Tom Mayo "mayonized". i.e. drilled holes in scales and it had been re bead blasted. not easily replaceable

Ditto this sentiment!

I have sold or traded off too many to count. I miss them all, but I realized I am addicted to the buy/sell/trade and not the knives themselves!

The ONLY CRK I can definitively say I will NEVER sell/trade is my very first CRK I ever purchased: small Plain Jane 21 Insingo. I have yet to buy another CRK or other knife brand for that matter that has been able to dethrone it as my pocket KING. It has been in my pocket about 90% of the time since 2011.

I regret selling my first 25. It was a double silver lug model and perhaps the smoothest CRK I've owned. It in Australia now.

I reget (a little) selling my Ti-Lock. I'd prob come to the same conclusion I had before and sell it again but I do think about it a lot. I would love that blade on a mid-sized Sebenza with regular, plain slabs and thumb studs. Oooooo that would be sweet.

I tend to mull it over for a LONG time before I part with something to make sure I am okay with letting the item go. I often miss them, but I don't agonize over it.
I am, however, harder on myself for NOT buying something that I liked or could have bought but didn't.

Interesting that you post this now, I just said those 3 words to a knife that I absolutely cannot afford right now, but couldn't let it get away again.

hehe, you're not going to regret buying that knife. It's a special piece. I wouldn't have regretted it, and came this close ---><---- to breaking just a few hours ago. Someone in this little corner of the world had to cave eventually. Ryan was probably counting on it.

Are you kidding, he's probably wondering what took so long!!! ROFL. I'll bet there's a serious commotion over on FB.

Small 2009 Annual. Been kicking my own a_s ever since I traded it (beginning 7 minutes after I left it at the post office). It's the only CRK I've let go, and it will be the last.
