CRK&T Production KFF?

Also, FWIW, probably the majority of buyers of CRKT knives, and most knives in general, probably do not care that a blade is AUS-6M, ATS-34, AUS-8A, or whatever. Please note I am not condoning nor condemning AUS-6M. But there are people for whom the steel works just fine for what they bought their knife for, a work knife. And when it comes time for the occasional resharpening, it's not considered a big problem to resharpen.

CRKT's new ACUTO 440 steel is listed at HRC 59-60. So it looks like they are exploring new steels, but being a new company and trying to keep affordable, they can't just up and switch everything because some at BF don't like their steel. We are not the majority of their business.

Sorry for the rant, but just my 2 cents' worth.

Jim,

Actually, I am in agreement with your thinking. If they sell, there may be a move on their part to upgrade, especially if the ELU's communicate their desire. Wouldn't be hard since the production process is already in place to make the knives. They just have to upgrade the steel. I don't mind zytel though it's not my first choice.

Axel thanks for the tip. My bag is probably worth more than the knife.
