Thanks rodblder! Yes I have been watching it, it was relisted yesterday after the orignal auction ended. I have talked to the seller via PM. He has some beautiful knives. #10/20 was offered to me by a fellow CRK enthusiast after I had asked him about a thread he posted back in December of 2010. Weired how things work out!! ;)
All the best, Dave

there is a proto on ebay now for $900, same guy that sold the helix recently

I recently traded into one and I absolutely love it. Perfect size in between a large and small 21 with a larger than expected blade. The smooth stonewashed finish is beautiful and the mechanics of the lock are a work of art. I switched out the clip to a 21 clip and it's my new go to EDC.

Congrats!
I'm looking forward to your post when it arrives.

Blackend has one, brought it over a few times for me to check out. Though I wasn't a fan of the pics I was immediately impressed by it when I got my grubby mitts on one. As is every CRK that I own, it's just right in so many ways.

I find myself carrying the Ti-Lock more than not. A fantastic EDC. So much blade in a smaller handle. The knife is very versatile. Some say not a hard use knife due to the lock bar, but on the contrary, I've used it pretty hard and no issues at all. One thing to remember in this design is it is not like any other CRK folder where you can disassemble the knife. It has a ball bearing system and if very difficult to re assemble without proper training and/or tools. Or at least that is what I was told by Heather. The fit an finish on the Ti-Lock is outstanding. No wonder why Chris keeps winning the manufactures quality award at the Blade show every year.

Congrats MP on a prototype. A true treasure for the collection.

The ti-lock has always fascinated me and I have been close to pulling the trigger! Someday! Great grab

Awesome Matteo! I honestly think these functional works of Art are very under appreciated! Not only is it the perfect size, especially for an office or urban environment, the blade is awesome! ! You get a lot of knife for its size! And yea if you don't care for the clip, and many don't, you can easily replace it with the standard CRK clip or go clipless and carry it in the pouch!! I honestly think that the major reason more folks have not given these a try is the price...but IMHO they are worth every penny! !
All the best, Dave

Thanks Rich!! I think the unconventional design and the retail price have kept many CRK fans from trying the Ti-Lock. Once the have the opportunity to see one in person and get to handle it, like you they are impressed by its size and functionality! ! Plus it is a very cool looking knife!!
As always, all the best!!

Thanks for the very interesting information about the prototypes. It was very interesting to read this and the related threads.
-------------------------------------------------------

I just took delivery of a new Ti-Lock, and there's something unusual about it that makes it delightful to hold.

I think much of its "delightfulness" (for lack of a better word) is due its aesthetic and design integrity. This can't be fully understood or appreciated (IMO) except in by experiencing it with all your senses. I can't figure out specifically what is so unusual about its size, balance, and feel, but it almost seems alive, to the point of being distracting at first. It's unlike any other knife I've handled and it's really interesting to own, even more enjoyable than I had expected based on photos.

The fit and finish of are exceptional, too, as I had expected for this brand, giving new meaning to the word "flawless". The blade was so sharp that when I accidentally brushed the edge with a finger tip, it promptly inflicted a painful "paper cut" - it's a good thing I had a paper towel handy to stop the bleeding! (insert friendly grins here)
