Good evening everyone,
I have for sale for your consideration a NIB Blue Steam TiLock, the 2015 annual edition. I purchased this one a couple of weeks ago from the last dealer at which I could find one in stock, fondled it for a couple of days, returning it to its box each time. I did untie the lanyard when first received, as I immediately do with all of my CRKs, but I have retied it. I tested the factory edge on some receipt paper, and it passed, slicing the paper. Unfortunately, it seems I am too accustomed to the weight of my Large 21s and 25 in hand, so I don't see this becoming an EDC as I had intended. Since I don't like to keep knives I don't use, off it goes to the next home.
This is a beautiful little big knife, moreso than pictures can do it justice. The lock feels as solid as any of my Sebenzas, and with very little practice, it can be opened and closed safely with one hand. Even being used to the Large Sebenzas, it is entirely comfortable in hand, choked up or not. The ball bearing pivot is glassy smooth, yet solid the entire action. The only flaw I can find with the entire knife is that the tip is ever so slight off center, a fraction of a millimeter, that is hard to see and photograph. I'm not sure if the grind at the tip is slightly off, or if the pivot needs tightened a smidgen, but if I really look for it, I can see it is just barely off. For full disclosure, though, I wanted to make sure that such was described.
Also included with the knife and original packaging are an extra backspacer/standoff with lanyard tied on, and a set of handle screws, both new from CRK as extras to have on hand.
I don't think there are many, if any, of these in stock now, and I am just looking to recoup most of my funds. Given the brand new condition of the knife and packaging, and the fact that I would like for this to be a relatively quick sale, I would like to see $OLD for this knife. That is $50 --> $65 off of retail for a soon to be rare annual. Nonetheless, if you have any reasonable offers to discuss, please contact me.
