CRKT 6763 Point Guard
Design by knife maker Pat Crawford. The Point Guard features an AUS6M stainless steel drop point blade with bead blast finish and Thumb Disk
for ambidextrous one hand opening is hardened to 55-57HRC. Interframe construction with a 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminum back spacer.
The handles are built out of black Zytel scales with holes and slots to minimize weight without reducing frame strength. Torx fasteners and Teflon
bearing. Liner lock with Lake and Walker Knife safety lock (LAWKS) on top for extra security. Removable black Teflon stainless steel pocket clip.
This is the earlier version of the Point Guard in which the LAWKS does NOT engage on its own when the blade is opened.
This knife was discontinued by CRKT.

The Point Guard has early lockup and solid plus the thumb disk makes opening this knife a breeze. I bought this knife years ago, if I had to guess it would have to be sometime around 2000-2002 (maybe a bit before then, not sure).
