Dick -- I'm really glad to read something positive about the knife. Have you perchance thought of writing a review for that forum?
Given the probably outcome of the new California statute re knives, those knives that are truly locked when shut are likely to find a very willing clientele. Sounds like an awful lot of knives that have been legal will suddenly become illegal. At least they included the sellers of hte POS stuff the gangstas apparently use. Stop that, and the punks will have to buy better knives. I'm sure that will really be of big benefit to the police.
I agree with your statement on the speed of closing knives. Unless I've got one open in hand, and suddenly experience an urgent call from mother nature with only a honey bucket to use, I think I can take a half second or so to safely close my knife. Can't help but wonder if the notion of drawing quickly hasn't somehow merged into the closure aspect.
Please write a thorough review, if you've the time and interest. Have put that knife on the back burner for a while, but it could get moved up the list. (Hint, hint.)
Take care,
