My Foresight fails to open completely and it is very hard to lock now. I jave to apply real pressure to get it locked. Seems to be sort of half locked. Never had any issues before this, I have had it about 6 weeks now. Any Ideas?

Is something stuck to the stop pin and not allowing the blade to go back as far as it should? Have you checked all the screws and pivot, or taken it apart?

Be careful if you take it apart. The IKBS bearings can easily fall out, and getting them all back where they belong can be a challenge. If there is grease holding the bearings in place, best to leave it be.

I have checked it really good without taking it apart and cleaned the locking surfaces with a swab, nothing seems to be in there. I almost cut myself VERY badly when the blade folded back on me before I realized it wasn't locking open. It will lock but I have to force it. I don't have any of the small tools I would need to disassemble it with me as I am away from home for 3 months on a job.

You may want to try what I did for my S&Ws; it worked for me, and hopefully it may work for you.

1. Extend the blade fully, to the point where the blade is fully engaged. At this point, your problematic lock should be just about to engage
2. Loosen the pivot screw and gently push the blade backwards a little more. After a few tries, the lock should eventually pop into place.
3. With the lock now in place, tighten the pivot screw.
4. Disengage the lock, unfold the knife and try deploying it again. The lock should now engage properly.

Messed with cleaning it up some more and this morning it was working again for some reason.

Sometimes I've had to partially open and snap it hard open to break in the lock settings; maybe had to do it several times with a particular knife.
