hey gus i need your help!...has anyone got any experience with the new kit carson m16 in zytel???????...thinking of buying one, but not sure???

Well I got mine about a week ago and I am very pleased. My first thought was no way they cant make a knife this good for 35 bucks. It feels good in the hand and the opening is as smooth as glass. I thought the zytel would make it very blade heavy but the liners balance it out and add a bit of heft to it. The flipper is a neat feature and allows for fast openings. Its true that Aus6 isnt the greatest steel but IMO its fine for this knife. Basically its a great knife for the price and if you get it I think you will be very happy. Hope this helped.

I have an M-16 w/aluminum scales. I have used it for over a year now and am very pleased with the design of the knife. I plan on purchasing another m-16, this time w/spearpoint blade and CF scales.

It's a great blade for the money. You will not be disappointed. I have trouble deciding between the aluminum & the zytle myself.

hey mike i know where you can get the zytel for 26.93 (cheap, cheap cheap!!!) if your interested?

I am waiting for a CRKT M1603 in aluminum from Skylands, it is a new version with black blade and olive drab handles. ASkylands is the only place I have seen them, has anyone else seen this version offered anywhere else? I understand the zytel handles are slightly thicker, but the one aluminum handled model I handled seemed to fit my hand just great.

Got the m16 02Z. Only thing wrong with it? Aus 6M steel
