Crkt m16-14dsfg

Yes that's true but in all reality I don't think crkt can ever compare to a cold steel. Dare I say the older cold steel. Cold steel serrations work excellent until they get dull. I've got a sharpener that is specifically made for Cold steel serrations and it doesn't do such a good job. Pretty near impossible for me to sharpen Cold steel servations
Yeah, that was the crux of it - you can get a way better CS for a similar price. I just meant I would not use a serrated Recon cause of their dang pattern. Really sucks that they turn the serrated models into showpieces or strict SD knives because of the disposable nature of the blade with the current lack of warranty. I imagine you could at least send them in, before.

It WOULD be super cool to have regular serrations cut by a maker in a PE CS though! Dang new ideas lol costing me future money
My son recently "donated" his M16 to the TSA flying out of Madison, WI. I had just recently re-beveled it for him and sharpened to a razor's edge. 8Cr steel. Easy to work with. It was about 8 years old. Now that it's gone for good, he replaced it with a Spyderco Delica. Good upgrade.
Good upgrade! Sad loss :(

After re-beveling. RIP:

I have one from about 20 years ago, I really like it.
Served me well for a long time.
This was before the lawks system, I despise the lawks they added to it.

Oh yes the lovely lawks. I heard a rumor that is supposed to make it into a virtual fixed blade knife. You know the rest of the story 😁

I hope it's a good one, let me know what you find out when he gets it and I might consider getting one. I'm seeing prices above $200 for that particular knife. It's a big risk considering the reputation of that company. Thank you in advance
As soon as he gets it and I get to handle it I will give you my thoughts, right now he's trying to decide which to get but he's like me, I would rather buy it In a store to see how it feels in the hand but our local knife store doesn't have any so he has to order online and hope it is comfortable
