I handled one of these knives today at a cutlery store, and Wow! For the price, the knife seemed to be very well built. The lock seemed solid, the opening was very smooth, and I for one like how it looks. As far as performance goes, what can you tell me about the M16?

Get the kind with the Carson Flipper.

I play with mine every day. When I go to bed, I flick it open a few times and it annoys my wife.

She just doesn't understand.

Definitely get one with the Carson Flipper, I've handled both and it makes a big difference. Do a search in the Knife Reviews and Testing forum here, it has been brought up a lot in the last month or so. Mine (03Z) should come in the mail in a few days.

The Carson Flipper is a little extension from the pivot area. When closed, it pokes up through the top a little. You can flip your knife open by tapping it down with your index finger to partially release the blade, and then give a light wrist flick at the same time. When in open position, it functions as an extra guard to prevent your fingers from choking up onto the blade.

Go to the Reviews and Testing Forum and do a search on the knife in question. IIRC there are a number of comments and reviews on this folder that you might find interesting.
