Crkt M16

OK, why I have two M16's and am looking for more:

1. To me, the M16's look great. Slim looking, no hunchback look.

2. Call me weird, but I don't like lockbacks. :) Harder to close one-handed, and feel less secure. But that's just me.

3. In both the zytel (dual-linered) and aluminum (single linered) M16's, there is no noticeable flex. I believe I've tried twisting my zytel handle, it moved just a little bit. Noticeable by eye, but not in the hand. Aluminum is even stronger.

I've never held an Endura/Delica before, so I'm thinking about getting one, since they're so highly thought of in terms of workbladeness (heh, I made up a word). I still think they're ugly though. :)

try an m-18 I believe you can get one for around 55 dollars from roger @ bayou lafourche knife works. I have one with a spearpoint, that drops moderately like a drop point. It has an aluminumn handle the flipper, aus-8 blade and blue g-10 inlays. Its a nice beefed up m-16, and did I mention it has the lawks also?!!

The quality of this one is on par with knives costing much more.

Nothing wrong with the endura!!! I have three of the old ones in aus-8. :)

Originally posted by recondoc1 I recently acquired one of CRKT's M-18s. They stepped up the design features of the M-16 series by keeping the flipper and adding the Lake and Walker lock safety

Actually the newer M16s also have the LAWKS.

I just got my M16-Ti handle with a spearpoint blade today and am fully impressed. I have owned and do own Mt's, Emersons, and Spyderco's. They are all great knives. What draws me to this knife however is the price and workmanship that went into it. That's why I am carrying it indtead of the other aforementioned blades. It isn't nessearily a better knife, however I feel it's very comfortable to carry and use. Beside I have less of a problem using, dropping, scratching, or worse case losing this knife. I feel the M16-Ti is the best of the CRKT lot. Check one out.
