I need help deciding on these two great knives with awesome features. Please post your opinion, I will use them for edc and self defense. Thanks

American Lawman. It's the only sub $100 knife I carry and probably the last one I'd want to get rid of.

Lawman. In my probably misplaced opinion, the only good knife CRKT makes is the M16. Plus, the only thing that beats a Tri-ad lock is a fixed blade.

I've not owned the M21 style blade, but I've had the opportunity to play around with one for extended periods of time. I thought the handle/blade balance point was all wrong for a knife that size.

I have owned the M16, which had a better balance point (imho), but I got rid of it after not too long. Nothing really "wrong" with it, but not enough "right," either.

About 6 months ago, I bought the Lawman (v2.0). It's a super EDC, and it's a keeper.

Not even a close decision here. Get the lawman. If you want a crkt go with the ripple or eros.

The m16-14sf that I own is an excellent folder and it has a very strong lock( the liner is right in the middle of the tang, with safety). I have stabbed it into wood, spine whacked it very hard and other beatings and the lock never failed. I don't know how different the m21 is other than the different blade shape..with that said I have never seen a bad complaint about the american lawman like I have with those knives..undeserved or not.
