CRKT Mirage Wharncliff Plain

I don't see what the hell is so wrong with disliking the direction CRKT takes. Don't we all have freedom of opinion? I guess not... wouldn't want to "embarass myself" by going against popular consensus.
Look, I *LIKE* CRKT's designs, and overall I think they're built pretty well as factory folders go, I just really really wish they'd go ahead and raise the costs so I could see some really cool designs like the Crawford Falcon or Point Guard with some G-10 and ATS-34 or something. That's all I'm really trying to say.
I know that CRKT has a couple models that are constructed of higher end materials, but these are the designs for which I don't care for much (figures...)
The only non-currently-AUS6M design CRKT produces that I like is the Carson M16/M18 series.

Well let me say that the Mirage is one of the most carried knife where I work. The fact that I bought a couple dozen of them from Smokey Mountain when they had them for $10 bucks might have something to do with it.Several guys got the Wharncliff,in the Grey Ghost model I believe.

They are very happy:).Good sharp knife, duel metal liners, pretty solid over all.Buy the way these are in the hands firefighters, people who are lets say,a little hard on their tools;) .I got no complaints yet, from men who use tools hard.

The wharnie mirage was my EDC for roughly a year.
Great little knife. Excellent bang for the buck.
I used it a bunch, opening boxes, then breaking them down, cutting pizza ;) and other everyday stuff.
Before it got dull, I'd strop in on the boxes (that I just cut up). Never touched a stone and will still scrape hair.
AUS 6 is a good middle of the road steel, especially for a small pocket knife.
I stopped carrying it after 9/11 when I switched to my Dozier K9, which, incedentally, is close to the same size as the open Mirage.

Buy 2.
:D
