CRKT Redemption Sharpened on Both Sides!

Many state laws prohibit carrying daggers, especially concealed. For instance here in WA
RCW 9.41.270
Weapons apparently capable of producing bodily harm—Unlawful carrying or handling—Penalty—Exceptions.
(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to carry, exhibit, display, or draw any firearm, dagger, sword, knife or other cutting or stabbing instrument, club, or any other weapon apparently capable of producing bodily harm, in a manner, under circumstances, and at a time and place that either manifests an intent to intimidate another or that warrants alarm for the safety of other persons.

If a cop has reason to stop you then "alarm for safety" is their judgment call.

In Illinois it's a "knife with a blade of at least 3 inches in length, dagger, dirk, switchblade knife, stiletto, axe, hatchet, or other deadly or dangerous weapon or instrument of like character."
No cop in WA, (unless you’re in King County) is going to snap you on that. I’ve carried several double edged knives both open on my belt and concealed, as well as a 9” bowie. Legality is very liquid. I have known many officers personally and none of them would take your knife. Unless you’re involved in a crime of course.

Why, since the first comment on MY thread did this become about legal issues. Most of these commenters don’t know what they’re talking about unless it’s the SPECIFIC area where THEY live. I’ve been a Sergeant in law enforcement for over 21 years. THIS IS IN NO WAY ILLEGAL. DEAR LORD BABY JESUS.

(You don't have to respond to these comments that are off topic . There is a sub for legal concerns . )

Back on topic : IMO , a false edge dagger is a sin against nature , a waste of steel and energy . ;)

You can make a better, more functional , single edged knife cutting geometry , almost any other way .

That’s what I was saying! Or even if it is they don’t generally care. I was responding to the guy who mentioned WA law because I actually have knowledge on that particular states knife attitude. As for the knife in question, 100% sharpening up the other side is the way to go. I just purchased one myself. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.
